"I hung out quite a few times at the Margarita on my visit to Granada. great prices, great food, and a great atmosphere altogether. Bob, the owner is a great guy. Very friendly, and has some great stories. We even hung out and had some fine Nica cigars, and flor de cana while watching the NBA playoffs. They also have rooms in the back. Very clean, comfortable beds, and AC."
Nice mix of locals and ex-pats and my favorite breakfast spot
"The place looks great. It's on the main walking street in the middle of everything. Tables outside at night for dinner, a good sized bar in the first room with a couple of tv's that had all the American sports games showing (and a couple of sitcoms in between), and a nice selection of tequila and other booze. The beer was ice cold - something I didn't find everywhere.
I was happy with the food. Mostly American fare. Coney Island Hot Dogs, hamburgers, chicken fajitas and the Nicaraguan cut of filet mignon. (Churasco). I usually like to eat local dishes so I found myself coming here for the best typical Nicaraguan breakfast I found - eggs, rice, beans, plaintain and a piece of fried cheese I am still craving. Margarita also has the best coffee I came across."
